If You Run, You Are A Runner.

Sometimes all I need to motivate me to strap on my running shoes and hit the trails is a good quote. Thank goodness for Pinterest and it’s ability to constantly inspire me. And hopefully, to inspire you too.

Here are a few of my favorites.

I’m hoping that for at least one of you, there was a quote in there that you needed to hear 🙂

For me, because I’m really stinkin’ sick, this was the one that I needed to hear today.

So a rest day is just what I’m taking 🙂 Especially since I got to recieve this glorious fact via the news this morning.

Needless to say, my walk to/from my first day of classes went a little bit like this..

Then when I got home, this happened.

And I haven’t moved a muscle since.

Tell Me: Do you have a favorite quote that motivates you?

  1. OH my goodness it’s so cold where you live!! I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced negative degree weather it sounds so scarry! Haha I’m such a whimp. This is such a great post though- thanks for the inspiration! Sometimes, the best thing I can do is not think about the run. Instead, I just go otherwise I’ll convince myself to slack off and walk or something. Hope you’re feeling better and staying warm! Drink hot co co!

    • Thanks for the well wishes! And I agree about trying not to think about the run! I usually try to think about literally anything else during the run, I just need the motivation to get out the door 🙂 haha

  2. That pup at the end grabbing the blanket is so cute! I think I would die if I saw my dog do that!! Also, hope you were able to click the link I emailed you and use that code HEALTHY to get the $5 off! 🙂

  3. Loved this post! So many good fitness quotes, and my goodness, I love the dog stuff at the end! I too have to convince myself I’m a runner sometimes. Sometimes when I don’t run a lot, I’m like… oh I’m not really a runner because I don’t run every other day or some crap my mind tells me. But I’m still a runner, even on sick days. Feel better!

  4. I hope you feel better! Good for you for giving yourself the rest day your body needs. I too often try to ignore the feelings I’m having but it’s not doing me any favors and it won’t make me a better runner. I love every single one of those quotes. They are all so important. I need to make a little shrine of things like that to remind myself sometimes. I’m a runner. I love to run far. And that’s awesome.

  5. Love these quotes, girl! I always tell myself “I’m only 1 workout away from a good mood.” I also tell myself that it doesn’t matter how fast I run, I just have to get out there and put 1 foot in front of the other. Once I start running, I usually find more motivation to pick up the pace! 🙂

I took a day off from exercising/running to rest today too. I hope you enjoyed your rest day as much as I did! 🙂

  6. This weather is BRUTAL. When I woke up yesterday to head to surgery (wisdom teeth) it was -5 degrees out. So as much as I am dying for a workout .. laying on the couch with hot soup and ice cream as my meals isn’t all too bad 🙂

I really love all these quotes. I always say I’m not a ‘runner’ cause I’m really slow. (So slow that my goal this spring is to break 2hr in the half, which I convinced my bf to pace me at!) But I have to remember if I run half marathons and a FULL marathon, no matter how long it takes this girl is a RUNNER.

Hope you feel better soon! 🙂

  7. I love these! I always have to remind myself to look at how far I’ve come instead of how far I have to go. Also, I’m getting chills just reading those temps! Omg I could not handle that!
